Butterfly

The butterfly's main object for inspiration was a handgun that I split in half.

Listed below are the objects that are in the sculpture and where they were found:

• Gears were given by a neighbor in Takoma Park, MD, in 2014.

• Metal wheel from Quaker Gear Works Philadelphia Area, 1989.

• Brass tube and finial from a house cleanout, Philadelphia 1999.

• Wooden peg from a friend, Takoma Park MD 2008.

• Various metal parts from general stock.

• Clock insert purchased new.
